A few years ago, our team received an exciting call from renowned architect Anup Bhardwaj. He was working on an ambitious landscape development project for the Rajasthan Government in Kota, Rajasthan, and needed a physical model that could bring his vision to life.
What made this project extraordinary was that there were no detailed architectural drawings available. All we had were conceptual sketches and hand-drawn ideas prepared by Anup Ji. For most model-making projects, detailed plans serve as the foundation, but in this case, we had to interpret the vision directly from sketches and discussions.
Our team carefully studied every sketch and began developing the model step by step. Each contour, landscape feature, water body, pathway, and green space had to be visualized and translated into a physical form with precision. It was a challenging process that demanded creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of landscape design.
As the project progressed, it gained significant attention. One of the most memorable moments came when Shri Shanti Dhariwal, then a Minister in the Rajasthan Government, visited our workshop to review the model’s progress. During his visit, he shared valuable inputs and suggestions regarding various aspects of the landscape development. His involvement further motivated our team and reinforced the importance of the project.
Creating the terrain was one of the most fascinating parts of the process. We developed detailed contours to represent the natural topography and carefully crafted various landscape elements, including water features, dense green zones, decorative plantations, and different varieties of trees. Every section of the model was designed to reflect the architect’s vision while maintaining realism and aesthetic appeal.
Days turned into weeks as our team worked tirelessly to refine every detail. What started as a collection of sketches gradually evolved into a stunning and comprehensive landscape model. By the time the project was completed, the transformation was remarkable.
The final model exceeded expectations. It successfully communicated the scale, beauty, and vision of the proposed development. Architect Anup Bhardwaj was extremely pleased with the outcome and appreciated the dedication and craftsmanship of our team. The fact that such a detailed and accurate model had been created entirely from conceptual sketches made the achievement even more special.
This project remains one of the proudest milestones in our journey. It demonstrated that great model making is not simply about following drawings—it is about understanding a vision, interpreting ideas, and transforming imagination into reality. The Rajasthan landscape model stands as a testament to the creativity, skill, and commitment of our team, proving that even the most challenging concepts can be brought to life when passion meets craftsmanship.
