TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all interactions, enquiries, orders, and service engagements with RD Models. By contacting us, placing an order, making a payment, or using our website (www.rdmodels.com), you (the “Client”) agree to be fully bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. About RD Models
RD Models is a premier scale model-making company headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. We specialize in architectural, engineering, urban planning, industrial, and exhibitions models, serving 700+ clients across India and in 7+ countries worldwide. Our six workshops are located in Jaipur, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.
We have successfully delivered over 1,800 models at scales ranging from 1:20,000 to life-size 1:1, serving top-tier corporations, government agencies, developers, and research institutions.
2. Working Days & Business Hours
2.1 Office & Workshop Hours
Our workshops and offices operate Monday to Saturday. We are closed every Sunday — no work, dispatch, delivery, or response to enquiries will be processed on Sundays.
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Closed: Every Sunday and declared public holidays
2.2 Delivery Hours
All deliveries are scheduled and executed Monday to Saturday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM only. Deliveries will not be arranged, dispatched, or processed after 5:00 PM, as e-way bills (required under GST regulations) cannot be generated after 7:00 PM, and we maintain a buffer to ensure compliance
Note: Deliveries on Sundays are strictly not possible. Please plan your project timelines and site readiness accordingly.
3. Quotations & Order Confirmation
All quotations are issued based on the project scope, design details, scale, materials, and specifications provided by the Client at the time of enquiry. Quotations are valid for 30 days from date of issue unless stated otherwise.
An order is treated as confirmed only when all of the following conditions are met:
The Client provides written acceptance of the quotation
The advance payment (as specified in Section 4) is received by RD Models
Final design files, drawings, CAD data, or architectural plans are submitted
Any changes to scope, size, materials, detailing, or design after order confirmation will result in a revised quotation and may affect delivery timelines. RD Models reserves the right to decline any order without providing a reason.
Note: Quotations are based on scope shared at the time of enquiry. Changes in design, size, material, or detailing will lead to cost revision and fresh timelines.
4. 3D Development & Design Approval Before Production
RD Models follows a structured production process to ensure the final physical model matches the Client’s expectations precisely. The process is as follows:
Step 1: Client shares drawings, plans, and reference materials
Step 2: RD Models develops a 3D digital model in software (CAD/visualization tools)
Step 3: The 3D development is shared with the Client for review and approval
Step 4: Actual physical model production begins ONLY after the Client gives written approval of the 3D digital model
Note: We will not begin fabrication of the physical model until the 3D development is finalized and approved in writing by the Client. Any changes requested after physical production has begun will be treated as revisions and charged additionally.
This approval process protects both parties and ensures the final model is accurate. Delays in 3D approval by the Client will result in corresponding delays in the project timeline, for which RD Models shall not be held liable.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Advance Payment
A minimum of 50% of the total project value must be paid before RD Models commences any work on the physical model. This advance payment is non-refundable if the Client cancels the order after physical production has begun.
5.2 Balance Payment Before Dispatch
The remaining balance — including the model cost, GST, packaging, transportation, and any applicable additional charges — must be paid in full before the model is dispatched or delivered. No dispatch will be initiated until 100% payment clearance is confirmed.
Note: Final dispatch will only occur after complete payment is received. No exceptions will be made to this policy.
5.3 GST (Goods & Services Tax)
GST is applicable on all services and products supplied by RD Models as per prevailing Indian tax regulations. The GST amount is the sole responsibility of the Client and must be paid along with the principal invoice amount.
RD Models is not liable to bear, absorb, or defer GST on behalf of the Client. The Client is advised to account for GST costs at the time of budgeting for the project.
GST will be charged as per applicable rates at the time of invoicing
GST cannot be waived or negotiated — it is a statutory obligation
Clients requiring a GST invoice must provide their GSTIN at the time of order confirmation
5.4 Payment Methods
Payments may be made via bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS), UPI, or cheque. All payments must be made in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise agreed in writing for international orders.
5.5 Late Payments
If the balance payment is not received within the agreed timeframe, RD Models reserves the right to hold the completed model and charge warehouse/holding fees as described in Section 7. Prolonged non-payment may result in the order being cancelled and advance payment being forfeited.
6. Production Timelines & Delivery
Production timelines are estimates provided at the time of quotation and are subject to change depending on the complexity of the model, availability of materials, Client-side delays (design approvals, payments, drawing submissions), or force majeure events.
Delivery timelines will be communicated after order confirmation. RD Models will make all reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines but shall not be held liable for delays outside our reasonable control.
Note: Delays caused by late payments, delayed 3D approvals, or incomplete design submissions by the Client are not the responsibility of RD Models and will result in corresponding project timeline extensions.
7. Model Collection & Warehouse / Holding Charges
Once a model is complete and the Client is informed of its readiness, the Client is expected to arrange collection or confirm delivery at the earliest possible time. Models are delicate products and occupy workshop/storage space.
If a completed model is not collected or dispatched within a reasonable time after the Client has been notified:
Warehouse / holding charges will be applicable based on the number of days / duration the model is held at our facility
The applicable holding charge rate will be communicated to the Client at the time of notification
Holding charges must be cleared along with the balance payment before dispatch
Note: RD Models strongly requests that Clients arrange to receive completed models as soon as possible after notification. Storage of large-scale models occupies significant workshop space and incurs costs.
8. Transportation, Delivery Charges & Staffing
8.1 Third-Party Transportation
For deliveries handled by third-party logistics providers or transporters, the following conditions apply:
The full transportation cost must be paid to RD Models at the time of delivery confirmation, before dispatch
If the Client prefers to pay the transporter directly, RD Models will not be involved in that arrangement in any manner
In cases of direct payment to the transporter, the Client must coordinate directly with the transporter for all logistics, tracking, timing, and issues
RD Models assumes no responsibility for transit delays, damages, or disputes when the Client has opted for direct payment to the transporter
Note: Once a Client opts to pay the transporter directly, RD Models will not intervene in or be responsible for any aspect of that transport arrangement.
8.2 RD Models Staff Deployment for Delivery & Installation
If the Client requires RD Models employees to physically travel to the delivery or installation site for supervision, assembly, or placement of the model, the following charges apply:

Staff deployment charges are in addition to the model cost, GST, and transportation charges. These charges must be paid in advance or along with the balance payment before the staff departs for the delivery site.
8.3 Packaging
All models are carefully packed using appropriate protective materials to ensure safe transit. Packaging charges are additional to the model cost unless specifically included in the quotation. RD Models will not be liable for transit damage if the model is handled by a third-party after dispatch.
9. Model Care, Handling & Warranty Limitations
9.1 Model Storage & Environment
Scale models are precision-crafted items made from materials that are sensitive to heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. The Client is solely responsible for proper storage and handling after delivery.
Models must be kept in a cool, dry, and shaded indoor environment at all times
Models must never be placed in direct sunlight — even brief or indirect exposure to sunrays can cause warping, discolouration, fading, and irreversible damage to materials, paints, and finishes
Models must be kept away from heat sources, open windows with direct sun exposure, or outdoor environments
Models should be handled gently; sudden shocks, drops, or vibrations can cause structural damage
Note: RD Models is not liable for any damage, warping, discolouration, or deterioration caused by sun exposure — whether direct or indirect. Even partial or brief sunlight can permanently damage the model. This exclusion applies strictly.
9.2 Repairs & Modifications After Delivery
RD Models does not provide a warranty against physical damage after delivery. Any repair, modification, or maintenance work required after delivery — whether due to mishandling, improper storage, sun damage, or transit damage — will be charged at applicable service rates.
Electrical components (lighting, LEDs, motors, etc.) included in models are tested and functional at the time of dispatch. No long-term warranty is provided for electrical elements.
9.3 Minor Variations
Due to the handcrafted nature of scale models, minor variations in colour, texture, finish, or lighting effects may occur. These are inherent to the craft and do not constitute a defect. RD Models will not accept returns or claims based on minor aesthetic variations within acceptable tolerances.
10. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
All proprietary fabrication techniques, methodologies, design innovations, and creative processes developed and used by RD Models remain our exclusive intellectual property.
Client-provided drawings, plans, and design files are used solely for model production and are not shared with third parties. The Client warrants that all materials shared with RD Models are legally authorized for use and that no third-party copyright is infringed.
RD Models reserves the right to photograph and use images of completed models for marketing, portfolio, social media, and promotional purposes unless the Client requests confidentiality in writing before project commencement.
The Client agrees not to replicate, copy, commercially reproduce, or reverse-engineer our model designs or fabrication methods.
11. Cancellations & Refunds
Given the custom-made, bespoke nature of all scale models, cancellations are subject to the following policy:
Cancellation before 3D development begins: 90% refund of advance (10% retained as processing fee)
Cancellation after 3D development but before physical production: 70% refund of advance
Cancellation after physical production has begun: No refund of advance; balance for work completed may be due
Cancellation of a completed model: No refund; full balance payment remains due
Note: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to rdarmodels@gmail.com. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.
12. Disputes & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms or any engagement with RD Models, both parties shall first attempt resolution through mutual discussion within 15 working days.
If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India), with the seat of arbitration in Jaipur, Rajasthan. For matters outside arbitration, the courts of Jaipur, Rajasthan shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Privacy Policy Reference
By engaging with RD Models, you also agree to our Privacy Policy available at www.rdmodels.com/privacy-policy. Your personal data (name, phone, email, company, project details) is collected only for project execution, communication, and service improvement and is never sold or rented to third parties.
14. General Provisions
RD Models reserves the right to update pricing, policies, and these Terms at any time without prior notice. The latest version is always available at www.rdmodels.com
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Client and RD Models, superseding all prior verbal or written understandings
By proceeding with any order or payment, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms herein
